How to Support your Latex Mould Without a Fibreglass Case

You shall typically require a piece of cardboard or plywood (depending on how big your latex mould is), spring (bulldog) clips and a suitable container, tube or can.

Step 1

Our latex frog mould, a piece of cardboard and spring clips.

Step 2

Place the bottom of your mould on to cardboard and draw an out line, remove the mould and draw a parallel line approx 10mm in from your original line as per photo.

Step 3

Cut out the inner circle.

Step 4

Place the mould into the hole and secure with spring clips.

Step 5

Place on a suitable container.

Before using your latex mould rinse with fresh clean water and leave upside down for a few minutes

Your mould is now ready to be filled.

Latex is self releasing and does not require a release oil, although when demoulding certain latex moulds it can help to use demoulding powder or natural soap on the out side of the mould which avoids the latex sticking to itself and aids easy removal.

Avoid using washing up liquids and detergents to demould, wash or clean moulds and always store moulds in dark, out of direct sunlight, store in a box or black bin liner.
